Moving from vision to practical implementation, Suzanne Carver's
timeless, integrated interior landscapes are executed with a
sophisticated technical knowledge and a studied and intelligent
use of the finest quality materials and objects. A sensitivity
to textures and the layering of colors and objects is found in
her designs, which have been influenced by the beauty and eclecticism
of European and Far Eastern countries where she has lived and
studied; among them Italy, France, Switzerland, India and Turkey.
Educated in art history and philosophy, Suzanne Carver attended the Art Students League and the New School in New York early in her career. She worked as a fine artist in painting and photography in New York for fifteen years, and her work has been exhibited in over forty galleries worldwide. Suzanne's passion for interior design evolved from her artistic and spiritual sensibilities and her extensive travel in cultures where art, architecture and interiors are unified in their expression. She arrived in Boston in 1981, where she became a Head Designer at Roche Bobois for four years. Today, Carver directs her own Essex, Massachusetts-based design team to serve select residential clients who value her aesthetic capabilities as well as her solid design practices.
